Unless you're a Richmond fan that's been living under a rock or failed to pay your internet bill this month, by now you've heard that Keith Gill is no longer the Athletic Director at Richmond. David Walsh, Deputy Athletic Director, is the interim director until a replacement can be found. Personal reasons were cited as the primary drivers of the resignation. There has been speculation regarding other shortcomings within the department, including some very public embarrassments (Rocco, Title IX investigation, baseball gambling) as well as the perception of an inability to adequately support marquee programs with admissions.
