If it ain't broke...
In football, if a team cannot stop the play you run, the coach will continue to go back to it, calling it until the defense shows it can adjust. Richmond basketball coach Chris Mooney has taken this mantra to a new level.
Coach Mooney has added another point guard with a killer crossover, unguardable first step, and quick release. It worked for him with KA, K0, Ced, SDJ, so no sense in changing the play now.
A winner
Jacob Gilyard will be a four-year starter for Barstow HS in Kansas City this winter. His team is coached by former KU Jayhawk Billy Thomas. Gilyard has had tremendous success leading the Knights, finding his way to the state championship the last two years.
He's been surrounded by great players, with members of last year's squad now suiting up for Nebraska and UNC. Next year, he'll be joining SG Marquis Godwin and SF Bryce Schneider on Richmond's campus.
