The Pitts family has a long legacy of football players. Lachlan Pitts, a 6-6 238lbs. TE/DE at Langley HS in McLean, VA, is the third brother to play collegiate football. His oldest brother plays for Furman and another brother plays for Albany. His father played at South Carolina and his grandfather at UNC. His great-grandfather spent time in the NFL after playing for Bucknell.
Pitts first visited campus back in April to view spring ball. He also spent time on the sidelines in Williamsburg and Harrisonburg. Pitts earned an offer days after an impressive showing in a June camp.
With a head of steam, Pitts is a tough guy to bring down. At 238 pounds, he still has a "skinny" frame and is capable of filling out. He also plays DE for Langley. The Spider coaches are getting a versatile athlete that can fill a variety of needs. Coach Rojas was the lead recruiter for Pitts.
